How We Got Here
Every movement starts with a single moment of conviction. Ours started with 12 children and the refusal to accept that their futures were already decided.
The Beginning
Need for education identified, lessons began with a meal everyday under a tree opposite games village. - Organized First open day medical outreach. - SWW camp David learning center started with a meal a day.
First Scholarship Programme
Creation of tire playground, LBI sponsors 18 students into patner secondary school. - LBI graduates and sponsors 67 students of SWW into paatner govt. secondary schools. - LBI launched a project with the aim of equipping 1000 children of the under-served with digital skills, providing learning space within camp David with easily accessible computers and tablets.
Meals and Medical outreach.
In partnership with UAE embassy LBI provides meals for 1000 people and shares new materials for 200 women. - The founder, LBi met with the executives of the coalition of NGO's in Zamfara towards providing solutions to the out of school children of the state. The Frances Omowumi olotu clinic started free clinic days in August of 2020, for the community focusing on pregnant women and children.
Graduates and launch of Alt Sch Program.
Life builders initiative graduated 41 students of SWW for 2020/2021 academic session. - In line with our mandate to improve access to quality education towards self-reliance for all children and young adults. LBI launch alternate school program for out of school children.
Tutored Program
LBI hosted project Tutored program '24 in Abuja, with the aim to create constuctive impact by enabling access to academic and extra curricular skills for children from low income and internally disbled communities. - LBI partners with Evergreen initiative and Shebuildslives to host project Tutored '25.
Playground Project
Kickoff Africa rehabilitates childrens playground at camp david with new equipment and facilities, for the children of schools without walls and the community. - LBI launches TaRL training for staffs and volunteers, with the aim of addressing fundamental gaps in literacy and numeracy of the children.
